Notes from the landowner

Tucked along the Dix River in Lincoln County, this 160-acre property gives archery hunters a genuine mix of terrain to work with, soybean and corn fields for evening feeding activity, mature hardwoods for bedding and cover, and a river bottom that funnels deer movement right through the property. Early mornings and evenings near the field edges tend to be your best bet as deer transition between bedding cover and the ag fields.
Hang-and-go stands and ground blinds are welcome here, and there's good access via Highway 30 or Deep Well Woods Road with a marked parking spot. Just remember to pack your stand out after each hunt, nothing stays up between visits.
This is a working farm as well as a hunting property, so please stay out of the planted soybean and corn fields. Stick to the field edges, hardwoods, and river bottom, and you'll have a quiet, low-pressure hunt on some genuinely good whitetail ground.

Game and habitat information

The property's habitat diversity is its biggest strength for archery: river-bottom cover, hardwood stands, and standing row crops all in one place. Deer use the hardwoods for daytime bedding and security, then push out toward the soybean and corn fields to feed as light fades, a classic edge-habitat pattern that rewards hunters who set up on the transition zones rather than deep in the timber or out in the open field.
