This listing offers a 3-day black bear listing on a 200+ acre farm just outside of Halifax, Virginia. Our farm is actively worked on, but during your hunt you will find seclusion and peace since we will avoid hunting areas during our daily operations. There are several miles of trails that we've cut through the property, all of which are wide enough for a smaller vehicle or four-wheeler. Our main road, which is about a half mile long, is plenty wide for regular vehicles and even trailers or campers if you bring one. If it rains, we just ask that you park at or near the entrance of the property, so you don't get stuck in the wet conditions.
We offer a few amenities for your use during your hunt. Those include a covered kitchen area stocked with a stove, sink, shelving, and table space. We also have several fire pits scattered throughout the property that we ask you to use responsibly - feel free to make use of any downed wood, but do not take it upon yourself to cut down any trees.
We do not have any provided tree stands or ground blinds set up, but hunters are welcome to bring their own non-permanent blinds and stands. You are welcome to come a day early to get set up, as long as this is coordinated with us and Infinite Outdoors. You may camp on our property during the hunt- all camping must be booked through our HipCamp listing found in the FAQs below. Welcome to our farm, we hope you enjoy your time here!
Collective Spaces sits within Virginia's expanding black bear range. The statewide bear population is approaching 20,000, a remarkable turnaround for a species once confined to just a couple of pockets in the state. That growth has pushed bears well beyond their historic range, and Halifax County now falls squarely within occupied territory.
While the on-property bear population isn't extreme, this farm offers everything a black bear needs to stick around - dependable water, dense cover, and a strong seasonal food supply. The food sources are really where this property shines. Black bears are opportunistic feeders, and between the peach and plum trees scattered across the land, hardwood patches producing acorns, and natural stands of berries and other fruit, there's no shortage of reasons for a bear to call this farm home.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will automatically process at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will automatically process 30 days prior to the start of your adventure.
For big game adventures, cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be handled immediately with no penalty. If a cancellation is requested after a deposit has been placed, Infinite Outdoors will make every effort to reschedule the hunt for a different season or a future year. If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
