WaterfowlBorderline East is a DIY waterfowl property located northeast of the town Julesburg, CO. This property is right on the Nebraska and Colorado border and provides opportunities for both light and dark geese, as well as chances for field ducks. It boasts a 6-man permanent pit. Hunters will need to bring their own chairs or buckets for sitting. Decoys will not be provided. Hunters must also abide by all state of Colorado waterfowl regulations, including but not limited to, licensing, limits, and method of take.
Located in very close proximity to the South Platte River, Borderline East is in perfect area for waterfowl hunting. Large numbers of geese, both light and dark, use the South Platte for roosting, and use the surrounding food sources daily to survive. Later in the year, near springtime, is when the light geese tend to migrate through, though all year long there is a possibility to pull a few in that are mixed with dark geese groups. This property will be rotated crops, and for the 2024 season it will be Black Eyed Peas. Hunters are encouraged to set out not only goose decoys, but duck decoys as well due to the closeness of water.

Provided pit blinds are built at the beginning of the season. Hunters are encouraged to spend a few minutes brushing in the blinds to keep them in quality condition and keep them well hidden from birds.
Reservation fees are processed at the time of booking and are non-refundable. All outdoorsman fees will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Pretty good blind on property, map was slightly off for the access with what appeared to be an electric fence. The blind was a little crowded for our group of 5. Plenty of birds flying around the property.

The map on the app is not marked well to get to the pit, the pit is fallen apart inside and parking is not that well it’s a very long walk to the pit.
