This property is no exception to that stereotype. This property offers attributes that can make it a Whitetail haven. The property offers 2 sections that both include water and agriculture fields. Corn is all around and on the property but the property also offers spots where you will be able to see game move in and out of the property. Hunters can bring pop-up blinds to raise chances of success. This is a DIY property, everyone hunting will need to bring all necessary equipment to have a chance at notching a tag. All attending parties must also be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally obtain access to this property. Lodging and camping options are also available on this property; reach out to Infinite Outdoors to inquire about those options.
Game and habitat information
The property near Cromwell, IA boasts an ideal environment for large whitetail deer, with its diverse range of biological habitats, including a riverbed, hardwood forests, and agricultural fields. Whitetail deer are abundant in the area, especially during the rut, attracted to the various food sources provided by the agricultural fields, as well as the shelter and cover provided by the hardwood forests. The deer travel along the draws and tree lines, making them a prime location for hunters to set up near. The hardwood forests offer excellent cover for deer, making it an ideal location for hunters to set up in tree stands and wait for deer to pass by. The dense tree lines also provide a rich source of food for deer, with a mix of deciduous species such as oaks, maples, and hickories, which produce acorns, nuts, and other food sources throughout the year. In addition, the agricultural fields provide an abundance of food for deer, as crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat are highly attractive to the animals. However, this also means that hunters must be strategic in their approach, as the deer can be highly unpredictable and may not follow predictable patterns. Target tree lines and draws for more daylight activity on deer. Deer numbers increase during the rut but numbers of deer throughout the property stay constant due to the abundance of food sources.
