1100 yards of Fourmile Creek at 9,700 feet elevation. Optimal stream flows range from 10 to 25 cfs, but fishing can be good at higher flows if the water is clear. Fourmile Creek is perfect small water fishing with a three-weight fly rod. Stream enhancements in 2010greatly increased fish habitat and reduced bank erosion. Countless tight meanders, deep pockets and undercut banks harbor abundant browns in the 5 to 12 inch range, with a few browns reaching up to 18 inches. A 25” cutthroat has also been caught in this section of the stream, and it is not uncommon to land 20”+ rainbows. Fishermen/women need to make sure to have a valid Colorado fishing license. This is CATCH AND RELEASE only. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

The scenic Fourmile Yak ranch is home to several trout species including browns, rainbows, cutthroats, cutbows, and brook trout. Fourmile Creek primarily resides on private land making this property an exciting opportunity. This property is creek fishing so often the majority of your fish will be in the 5-12” range with the occasional shot at a hungry creek monster in the 18-25” range.

I was concerned about parking on the opposite side of 285 from the property. But both times crossing was easy with large gaps in the traffic. Coming back on Friday afternoon proved to be just as easy. The Creek was perfect as it is a small hike away from 285.

Awesome fishing on a pristine creek in beautiful South Park.Caught countless fish on drys.I have never fished property without encountering Atleast one fish over 24 inches!

I have some hip and back issues that flared up and impedded my enjoyment of the property. I was doubtful of the reported size of fish but I became a believer. The tight meanders and cut banks hid some lovely large trout. I was able to site fish a 15" to 18" fish and put an egg pattern on his nose several times before he took it! Unfortunately, he ran down stream and broke off. Because of my physical issues we cut our time somewhat short on the south section and did not fish the north section as originally planned. If I get my physical issues fixed, I'd go back.
