Turner Draw Turkey

Turner Draw Turkey is a DIY turkey hunting property located northeast of Lusk, WY, and falls within Area 2. It consists of over 2000 acres of quality turkey habitat that includes several different creeks lined with thick cottonwood trees, perfect for roosting. Turner Draw offers access to a full section of State of Wyoming land that is otherwise landlocked. South of the ranch hunters can also find other walk-in access and state land that is open to the public. Hunting on this property is by foot only. There is one main road on the property that you may drive a vehicle on to get in and out of the ranch, but all hunting must be done by foot. This means parking off the side of the road, and hiking in.

Turner Draw Turkey offers opportunity for hunters to harvest Merriam Turkeys, as well as occasional hybrids. This particular property is located only 1 mile from the Nebraska state line, and 3 miles from the southwest corner of South Dakota. Indian Creek is the main water source on the property, but not the only one. It runs all the way from South Dakota, through Nebraska, and into this hunting location. Turkeys in this region notoriously move through the creek bottom throughout the year. This is very neat because you could potentially harvest a bird in Wyoming that has traveled through South Dakota or Nebraska! Off of Indian Creek branch 2 smaller creeks, Plum and S-Bar. Between these three sources of water, the thick cover of large cottonwoods that line those creeks, and abundant seeds and other foods, this property proves to be the ideal turkey habitat.

Hunters must cancel within 2 weeks after the draw results post. If deposit has been made, we will push you to following year/season if possible

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All adventures can only be booked a maximum of 90 days in advance.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
