Notes from the landowner

For the 2024/25 season, this property will be operated differently than in years past. This property will be used exclusively for cleanup hunts. This property, along with Pheasant Farm Lodge, will be used as habitat and bird population project grounds. This means that several times throughout the year, bird populations will be supplemented on the property, in large numbers. There will be several 'corporate hunts' scheduled, and all hunts in between the bigger hunts will qualify as a scratch hunt. What that means is, hunters who are cleanup hunting will need to follow the Colorado regulations and limits. If you are wanting to purchase additional birds through the Colorado Game Bird Producer's License, please contact Infinite Outdoors prior to booking your hunt.

Game and habitat information

This area of eastern Colorado holds a healthy amount of wild pheasants. Over the years lots of eastern Colorado has seen a fluctuation in the pheasant population but now holds at a healthy number making this a great area to hunt birds. Due to the habitat of much of this area, birds are able to find cover in trees, thickly foliated ravines, and CRP fields. There is also great food and water supply through the significant agriculture in the area creating great properties to find pheasants. In addition, this property is occasionally supplemented with pin-raised birds to insure a booming population.

SPEEDING

Drivers should stay under 15 MPH on private roads. Violators will be subject to fines starting at $100

Season

License

All hunters must possess a small game hunting license: https://cpw.state.co.us/thingstodo/Pages/SmallGame.aspx

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged from contacting Infinite Outdoors. Some landowners have not opened their land for reservations yet. The other reason properties might be unavailable is because we work directly with our landowners and hunts are booked by quota set by our biologist for the current year. That being said, we are willing, and able in most cases, to pre-book you for next season. OR book you in place of someone else canceling their reservation.

Highly disappointed. Lots of cows. Electrical fence around property to keep cows in. No cover for pheasants.

Sorry you had a poor experience on my property. As I am sure you were aware, there was recently a record snowstorm that threatened the safety of many of our local residents' farms and cattle operations. While we strive for facilitating great hunting opportunity, cattle and farming are still the life blood of the community. As stated in our property description, this area is also not stocked for every hunt, as in previous years, which surely compounded the difficulty of the hunt. That area is always best hunting on the miles of tree rows, in our opinion, but we do apologize if the other forage wasn't thick enough after cattle were confined to shelter belts and ran them down. We have contacted our IO reps, and they will be reaching out with some codes to hunt another cattle-free section at a discounted rate if you wish to give our properties another chance. Sorry again for very unique circumstances and thanks for allowing us to make it right and for supporting us and our local economy.

Very disappointed. We have been on these properties other times and had a great time. This past time we found no birds and no signs. There is also 200 head of cattle on the property. We will not be returning to this property.

We paid a premium and hunted for Pheasant on a "stocked" property. The property has extensive cover and bountiful food but almost no water meaning the the birds that were there are clustered near the only water on the property. Maybe it was stocked earlier in the week and those hunting the days ahead of got their max but there were very few birds (three) that we saw on the property; all day. So for $460 for 3 hunters, we walked away with 1 bird and three opportunities. Not a good deal by any accounting.

We hunted on a Monday, after a Saturday and Sunday booking ahead of us. We expected tough conditions, which we encountered, but for a stocked property even after a full weekend the number of birds seemed unusually low. The property itself was ideal.
