Notes from the landowner

This split property outside of Rock River, Wyoming, consists of several parcels of land that are ideal for spot and stalk opportunities this elk season. With sprawling flats, homey buttes, and a beautiful riverbed, this area is known to attract large elk herds late in the season, with regular populations of 5x5+ bulls. This property is only huntable during late seasons and does not have a population of elk early in the season. As the year progresses and game starts to migrate, elk will congregate throughout this property in big numbers. This is a DIY hunt, so hunters must bring all things necessary including weapons, tags, licenses, etc. All hunters must abide by Wyoming Game & Fish rules and regulations.

Game and habitat information

In Rock River, Wyoming, lies the Tried and True Elk Property. Elk frequent this property for its abundance of productive habitat. This Property is unique in that it offers creek-bottom and winter range for migrating elk. Pressure from the public land also pushes more elk to utilize this property, encouraging them to congregate in large herds as they begin to move into lower elevations throughout the winter. It is always a good idea to glass creek-bottoms for bedding elk and to look for elk grazing in the sage flats and draws. Hunters will benefit from glassing, watching the wind, and positioning themselves with patience to capitalize on the right opportunity. Don’t miss out on this Tried and True property for your next elk hunting adventure.
