7,000'Red Nose is located Northwest of Wellington, Colorado in GMU 9. This property is massive and spans over 10,000 acres along the Front Range of Colorado. During the later part of the seasons, hunting should be phenomenal. There is an abundance of food and water sources throughout the property which make it a desirable area for elk as they make their way to lower elevations for the winter. This booking is for DIY access however the landowner wishes for the hunters to accompanied by a guide. These hunts will be guided through Eastern Outdoorsman outfitter (#3381 Colorado). Each hunter must sign a guided hunt contract from the outfitter prior to the hunt. Please contact IO for more information and we can get members set up for this awesome experience.
The Front Range of Colorado is known in the hunting community for the abundance of wildlife from waterfowl to elk. Red Nose is a perfect example of how good hunting can be in the range. Elevation on the property ranges between 5,800 and 7,000 feet. Boxelder Creek runs through the property on the east side and is used to water agriculture fields that also make up the majority of the east side of this property. As temperatures get colder, elk tend to move from higher elevations to lower elevations to wintering grounds for easier access to food and water. Red Nose offers exactly that. There are multiple sources of food around the property as well. Hunters can expect late season elk herds to be large and hunting them must require some patience to manage an ethical shot.
Non-refundable Reservation Fee 50% outdoorsman charged after draw results 50% outdoorsman charged 1 month prior to hunt
Hunters must cancel within 2 weeks after the draw results post. If deposit is made, we will push you to following year/season if possible.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.

One of the best hunting trips I’ve ever been on. Sam and Mike were fantastic. They were very knowledgeable, fun to be around, and driven to make this a great experience for everyone involved!

Had a great experience with a successful hunt. This property prefers hunters use a guide and it was well worth it. Definitely planning to hunt this here again in the next few years.
