17Raftery Badger consists of approximately 560 acres, just west of the Great Bend Plains of Kansas. This listing lays in unit 17, just Northwest of Greensburg, KS. This particular section of the state is no stranger to massive deer. Multiple deer have been taken off of this property in the last few years. Upon booking, hunters should be ready and expect to shoot longer shots as the plains are open which makes getting in close tough. Raftery Badger has additional amenities available. There is a RV pad with Electricity and Water available that hunters can use for the time that they have access to this adventure, no extra charge. Camper can be provided as well if this is something that you are interested in, contact IO for additional information. In addition, there are many walk-in, upland game opportunities within a couple of miles of the property if hunters need a break during the hunt. This is a DIY experience, meaning groups will need to bring all things necessary to raise chances of success. All attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally access this property. All Kansas state rules and regulations will apply even though you are on private property.
Whitetail and Mule Deer can be found on around this property. Both species of deer can be seen in abundance at any part of the day but are more active during the morning and evening in feeding hours before bedding up for awhile. Although the plains might be perceived as a place where you can see everything, deer will often bed in plain sight in careful locations from prey. This property is made of CRP with subtle rolling hills. There are tree rows and plenty of food sources for deer to stay on the property. There is agriculture around the property as well, making the area in general desirable for deer.
