4-Man PitRawhide #9 is located outside of Wellington, Colorado in the Central Flyway. Sitting along the northern section of Colorado's Front Range, this property offers an opportunity for great goose hunting in a highly desired location. Rawhide Reservoir, which sits approximately 3 miles to the northeast of this property will stay open year-round as it serves as a cooling pool. Another reservoir, Park Creek, is located about 3 miles to the northwest. Rawhide #9 has a 4-man pit that is available for use upon booking. Access to this property will be on the south end; please be sure to look at the adventures tab in the Infinite Outdoors app to make sure you are accessing this property correctly. This is a DIY property in which hunters will need to bring all things necessary for this hunt. Additionally, parties attending the hunt must be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally access this property. Please be sure to follow all Colorado state rules and regulations, including limits.
Rawhide #9 can offer great days in the field. This property sits directly in between Rawhide Reservoir and Park Creek Reservoir. Rawhide Reservoir will stay open all year around due to the fact that it is cooling water for the power plant located nearby. Geese will often find roost there all year as well. Mornings and evenings will see a higher density of birds during feeding hours in the fields on and around this property. Rawhide #9 features harvested corn, which serves as a desirable food source for geese as the temperature continues to drop during the season. This property also sits at the northern section of the front range and is one of very few harvest fields in that section and will be among the first food source geese find as they move south.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
By booking this property, you agree to Waterfowl Landowner agreement found here(https://bit.ly/waterfowl-terms)
Seating is not provided, please bring your own chairs, buckets or whatever you prefer because there are none in the pit
Although the blind is there, please consider showing up earlier and brushing yourself in the way you see fit. However, please also keep modesty in mind, and do not overdo the blind by tearing up the property.

Directions were easy to follow, the pit was easy to find, we did see some birds but not many.
