Hereford Haven - Deer

Hereford Haven is a DIY deer hunting property in GMU 87 near Hereford, CO. It is made up of just over 300 acres of CRP grass. This area of Colorado is known for its abundance of game. Colorados famous Front Range starts just south of this property. Hereford Haven is a great location to find both Mule Deer and Whitetails in the same place. This property is not mountainous by any means but more of a plains area. This can be a tough but very rewarding. Hereford Haven is a DIY hunting opportunity. This means when booking, be aware that you are expected to bring everything necessary for this hunt. Please make sure all rules and regulations are followed while on this property. All attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors in order to access this property legally.

Hereford Haven Offers Excellent deer hunting opportunities with rotating crops as well as abundant CRP within the area.This area in Eastern Colorado provides great Mule deer habitat year round. This mixture of vast plains and agriculture produces both quality Mule deer and the occasional Whitetail deer. These vast croplands and CRP fields serve as exceptional habitat for this region. These properties also include Ag fields which also serve as an attractor for big game. An excellent tactic is to drive the farms roads in the early mornings and evenings to get a feel for the wildlife in the area and their patterns. Be sure to keep an eye out for deer activity in early mornings and evenings as your walking or glassing the property as well. Deer tend to feed in the Ag fields and find being shortly after feeding. Find slight depressions in the topography for thicker bedding areas. These deer can disappear in small thick pockets of vegetation so be sure to intercept them before they disappear. This being said culmination of different landscapes provides grazing opportunities for deer throughout the property whether it's Ag or CRP.

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.

Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
