Mountain Vista Goose - Pit

I was concerned when booking this hunt due to one of the recent reviews about access, cattle, and the electric fence. When I arrived the access point was clearly marked with flags and the map on the IO App was accurate to direct right to the blind. No problems accessing and I had a great time. I got the feeling that either the power lines were preventing the geese from flying closer or the property has been hunted hard. I was still able to get some shots, but was surprised by the amount of birds in neighboring fields.

The pit was decent but has an entire cattle fence covering the pit which you would have to move off of both of the sections of the pit and move away from the pit to actually hunt without flairing the birds completely( they are extremely heavy)There are several electric cattle fences and I mean three cattle fences that are hot and there is no easy way to get around them had to have someone literally hold the cattle fences up over our vehicle after walking over a hundred yards to turn them off in the snow and In the dark there was no prior notice about the cattle fences in the e-mails or on the app…. Before the adventure I had to call infinite outdoors several times to figure out how to access the pit after being shocked by several electric cattle fences it took us over an hour just to get to the pit from entering the property.. it is not marked on the app or told to you prior to booking or after booking we struggled to get on to the property safely.. the pit has a very sketchy ladder to enter the pit (glad I brought my own) the pit was moved since the last few seasons to the back field on the property the access points on the app don’t mention that there are live electric cattle fences we had to walk several hundred yards In the snow early morning to find the boxes to turn the cattle fences off we ended up having to take a different route into the field to get to the pit because the cattle fences were live and there are 3 of them along the access point we ended up finally getting to the field after over an hour of trying to find the boxes and holding wires over a vehicle to get into the property and get set up…the property itself is good and in a good location but entering it was an absolute nightmare and there’s no prior notice to this( trust me we checked our emails and on the app to see if we were in the wrong and we weren’t.. if we would have known about the cattle fences and how to turn them off and how to get them to drop or at least slackline we would have been able to set up a lot earlier the overall experience was sad compared to the past few years. We’ve hunted this property several times in the past few years and it has never been this difficult to access. We were ready to give up and go home because of the weather and also because we ended up noticing a electric cattle fence down several hundred yards away and we rushed to get the cattle back towards the field they were originally feeding on and pounded the stake back in the ground to keep the cattle in the fenced area. We called infinite outdoors and spoke to Russel he was helpful to us and tried to make our experience as easy as possible but this was hands down the worst experience we’ve had with infinite outdoors and we’ve been members for several years before it got as popular as it is now. We ended up staying and getting almost a two man limit but the overall experience was not at all what we’ve experienced before using this platform it was very disappointing
