Running a ranch is a great location for waterfowl hunting. This unique property just west of Lamar provides remote access to a very good section of the Arkansas river. The stretch of river located on the property in particular had great diversity in hydrology relating to several areas that birds will target when migrating. Resident birds as well as migrating birds can be found on this river making opportunities for a variety of species to be harvested. During the Waterfowl season Stretches of river, such as these will have excellent visibility compared to warmer seasons and have several food sources that are crucial for migrating waterfowl. These food sources include macroinvertebrates, algae, and several other aquatic species crucial for survival for these birds. Access to the south allows for birds to be unpressured at arrival. A small walk is required to access the river bank where you will find more than enough brush to conceal yourself while hunting.
