Vrain South

This property offers pristine Waterfowl hunting on the St. Vrain river, northwest of Platteville CO. Located strategically, the blind sits perfectly on the river for big days. All hunting ENDS at NOON. Hunters must bring all essentials including licenses, tags, etc. Hunters must abide by all Colorado state rules and regulations. Note: There are 2 blinds for Vrain South, hunters can set up at whichever they choose. Please remember Vrain North shares access so there may be other hunters on the north side of the property. Please be respectful to those that are on those blinds. Parking is limited so please bring maximum of 2 vehicles. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

Vrain south is an excellent location for Waterfowl hunting, the Saint Vrain River provides plenty of trees and cover to make for excellent hunting opportunities and abundant game. This river provides a great variety of habitat making it home to several waterfowl species. Ducks with occasional geese will utilize soft water, sandbars and oxbows in secluded areas of the river to forage and loaf after feeding in the agriculture close-by. The south end of the property provides larger, slower moving water whereas the north end provides more sandbars. As the season progresses and the standing bodies of water freeze, expect to see massive bird movements to this river. Several species of waterfowl utilize this river so be sure to abide by all Colorado wildlife rules and regulations.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Although the blind is there, please consider showing up earlier and brushing yourself in the way you see fit. However, please also keep modesty in mind, and do not overdo the blind by tearing up the property.

All hunting on this property must be finished no later than 12 p.m. This means decoys picked up and cease of shooting by noon.
