13 acresTank Farm is a DIY waterfowl hunting property located just east of the town of Glenrock, WY. This property resides on the North Platte River, in a flyway notorious for great waterfowl hunting. There will be two designated hunting areas, both of which will require waders to access. The south bank of the river is very steep, so access to the blinds is recommended by water. Hunters can find their way into this property by turning east off of Tank Farm Road, or RD 27, and passing through a gate which will require a code sent to you after booking. When arriving at the parking place, a sign will be placed on the left hand side of the road, please just pull off on the right side. Where the parking sign is located, you can follow that fence line down to opening and access the river from there. The property boundary is drawn halfway in the river, just north of a secondary blind on the island. Retrieval of birds on the north side of the boundary must be done with dogs, or any other form that will keep hunters from trespassing onto the neighbors. Hunters must abide by all state of Wyoming regulations, including licensing, limits, and season dates. Waders are more than recommended. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.
Tank farm waterfowl is nestled into an isolated section of the North Platte. Waterfowl hunting in this area has been proven to be excellent in this underrated waterfowl state. Expect to see large numbers of waterfowl as the season progresses as birds retreat to the river after standing bodies of water freeze. Be sure to be conscious about property boundaries when setting up a decoy spread and shooting a bird. Waterfowl will generally target slack water and sandbars when utilizing the river for foraging opportunities and loafing from nearby agriculture. Be sure to read up on Wyoming waterfowl regulations prior to arrival.
Drivers should stay under 15 MPH on private roads. Violators will be subject to fines starting at $100

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
Although the blind is there, please consider showing up earlier and brushing yourself in the way you see fit. However, please also keep modesty in mind, and do not overdo the blind by tearing up the property.

Lots of birds! The main blind on the property is good but I went to the natural cattail blind further downstream and seems to decoy birds better.
