Enjoy 0.9 miles of Dyer Creek about 40 miles outside of Hotchkiss, CO. Dyer Creek offers some of the best scenery on the Western Slope. This secluded property has the ability to pull you back in time. But that is not the only reason why you want to make this your next stop. Brook trout are around every bend, hole, and riffle. Due to the high mountain feel along with the lack of pressure, this fishery offers up the opportunity for high number days. A trophy for this property is 12-14″, with the average being 6-10″.
Wading this property is fairly easy but you are in the wilderness, and the occasional down tree does make you earn a few sections. Near the creek, you will find scattered willows and other obstacles. However, casting lanes abound. If you are able to fish the property late in the day do not be surprised to be greeted by a turkey or two, they like to roost in the towering cottonwoods that follow the creek. Deer and elk are also welcome guests on the property.
Although we typically get your booking approved within a few hours, please allow up to 1 business day for booking confirmations.
Due to livestock and other concerns, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted on this property.

Overall, a great experience. The water level was medium low, but that meant that you know exactly where the fish are. It's clear that they don't get a lot of pressure, because they would go after a variety of dries. Property is tight in places, so casting is a little technical. Will definitely go back next year.

Great little creek to fish. Caught 20+ in about 4 hours. No trophies, most in the 8-12 inch range. Flows getting thin and terrain upstream was difficult, but I will definitely go back.

I spent about 2.5 hours on this stretch. It is a small stream and the water is a little skinny but that is to be expected. There were numerous deep holes and the brookies were actively feeding. Had 25-30 to the hand in the 2.5 hours. Nothing large, all in the 6-9 inch range.
