Whitetail and Mule DeerSandy Landsman is a deer hunting property consisting of over 7,000 acres. This property will be shared access, you may see other hunters. Purchasing a hunt on this property is for access alone, not exclusivity. This hunt is designed to be more affordable access for people. Think of this as public land hunting on private land. Up to 6 hunters will be allowed at a time. The property is a combination of different plots spread out throughout GMU 116, containing all types of terrain. From dried creek beds to thick grass cover and agricultural land, this property has everything deer want and need to survive. You will find mostly mule deer in this area, but some whitetail may reside in pockets. This is spot and stalk hunting, park on the county roads and walk in. You will catch deer feeding in the early mornings or sneaking back into their bedding areas mid-morning, likewise during the evenings. Each plot of land is small, but access on this property covers a large area in 116. Deer hunts on this property will be sold in 5-day chunks, for both archery and rifle seasons. The day you book is valid for the following 4 as well. This is a draw unit for buck tags, but Infinite Outdoors may be able to put you in touch with a landowner for a voucher; you will purchase the voucher directly from this landowner. Lodging is not included with this hunt. Nearby towns such as Stratton or Burlington have available hotels. Infinite Outdoors may have lodging available near Stratton but that is subject to many blackout dates. This is a DIY deer hunt property, yet guided deer hunting options are available through a separate company. Contact an Infinite team member to discuss those options. IO payment process is as follows: A reservation fee that is non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will be processed 2 weeks after the Colorado limited license draw results are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to Infinite Outdoors and they will proceed with you accordingly. The remaining 50% will be processed 1 month prior to your arrival on the property.
This 7000-acre property contains everything from CRP grassland to agricultural land such as wheat stubble, corn, and millet, along with old homesteads and pastures. This property will hold both whitetail and mule deer with a handful of large bucks of both.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
5 day hunt. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire timeframe, and your entire group.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.
Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
