4505 ft.This property located in the heart of the Eastern Plains, just southwest of Burlington Colorado. With an impressive size of approximately 5400 acres, this property offers ample space to fill some tags! Happy Creek is located in area 116 which is notorious for big bucks, both in Mule deer and Whitetail. With a creek bed running through multiple ag fields, this property provides a diverse range of habitats to explore and the sources to keep deer around in a high abundance. IO payment process is as follows: A reservation fee that is non-refundable. Bookings will not be accepted until after the resident draw results are posted. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will be processed two weeks after licenses are awarded, otherwise it will be processed at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will process one month prior to your arrival on the property to hunt.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
5 day hunt. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire timeframe, and your entire group.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.
Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Good experience on the property, we felt that there were very few deer to hunt compared to our expectations.

Hey Kyle, thanks a bunch for the review and congrats on the successful hunt! Based on our biologists reports from Eastern Colorado this year we have seen better deer numbers on IO properties then most of the rest of the region, mostly due to our management strategies implemented bio IO and our landowners. Due to the habitat in the area, seeing several mature bucks is typically an average to above average hunt and we are glad you were able to capitalize. Deer in eastern Co, specifically mule deer, tend to have a much larger range than than other areas compared to other areas like the Midwest. Having the opportunity to chase multiple large deer is always a treat. Whitetail numbers can vary in this region due to the lack of timber and mature does. Similarly, both IO and CPW have been focusing on prioritizing Mule Deer habitat and management rather than whitetail management in eastern Co. While there are still several mature whitetails around, the hope is that this is primarily mule deer habitat. We do have many other areas where whitetails are present and look forward to hopefully getting you out on them in the future!
