This is a private pond located at 9,500 feet elevation. This property is stocked with 250 rainbow trout in the 12” range and a healthy mature population of 16” – 20” rainbows. This private pond is perfect is perfect small water fishing with a three-weight or four-weight fly rod. The property lies on top of a cliff-side and overlooks the Arkansas River as well as Clear Creek Reservoir. The Horse Thief Ranch consists of a 100 acre meadow that is home to grazing yaks, and other wildlife. This family-owned ranch is a perfect getaway for anyone looking to find peace of mind, while battling rainbows for hours on end. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

Horse Theif Pond is home to a freshly stocked 250 12" rainbow trout and a healthy population of mature 16-20" rainbows, Due to the low pressure this pond sees these fish are incredibly eager to eat. The pond offers excellent habitat for these fish, creating differing opportunities for anglers of all skill levels.

Had a wonderful time. Jim and Faith were terrific hosts and the fishing was awesome. Beautiful rainbows were abundant hitting hoppers and caddis dries.
