400Deer Ranch Lodge is a beautiful property, consisting of 400 acres of diverse country outside of Paonia, Colorado. It has agricultural fields that draw all game to the unpressured private land, bedding areas, and easy access to water. By booking this property, you also have access to landlocked BLM land. Meaning it is surrounded by private property and is inaccessible by the public. The outdoorsman fee is for a 5-day hunt, which includes on-site lodging. This property is known for its deer hunting, and in 2021 IO users had 100% success. You will need to acquire you own tag for this hunt, and preference points will be needed. This is a DIY deer hunt; however guided deer hunt options are available through a separate company. Contact an Infinite Outdoors team member to discuss those options. IO payment process is as follows: A reservation fee that is non-refundable, to book the hunt. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after draw results are processed. If you are unable to draw, contact an Infinite Outdoors team member. Ther other 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt date.
Right in the heart of the unique landscape outside of Paonia, Colorado ranch country, lies a 400 acre landlocked agriculture honey hole. This landscape provides great habitat for large mule deer and provides crucial wintering habitat. With an abundance of food sources, bedding areas, draws, creek bottoms, healthy ag fields, This property has it all. Be sure to be cautious in you approach, Deer maybe utilizing agriculture right at the base of the mountain. Access to landlocked BLM on this property is a game changer. This might as well be an extension off of private land and you are free to roam this as well as the private. Find glassing knobs and be patient for bucks to become more active to find a mature buck to harvest likely in the ag field coming down to feed. Deer will utilize small drainages or creek bottoms for travel and bedding to the ag. Lots of landscape to cover when putting the BLM on top of it. hunting pressure is less of a concern on a property like this, so be patient and get setup in the right position to harvest a mature deer. This being said, Deer Ranch Lodge is an excellent place to have your Colorado mule deer hunt a memorable one!
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
5 day hunt. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire timeframe, and your entire group.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.
Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
