Deer Haven - Whitetail

Deer Haven is a DIY deer hunting property located just south of Blocker, Oklahoma. Consisting of just under 80 acres of private land, this property is comprised of ideal whitetail deer habitat. One of many noteworthy aspects to this property is that it has not been hunted in over 5 years. This lack of pressure has allowed for deer to travel, bed, and feed safely inside the boundaries of the property for quite some time. Because of this, many mature resident bucks are found within, and inside a reasonable distance, and are seen on game cameras almost daily. Hunters who book an adventure here will need to be prepared to provide their own tree stands or ground blinds if they choose to hunt from one. There is one feeder provided on the property that will be kept full throughout the entirety of hunting season. Adventures on Deer Haven are booked one day at a time, so if multiple days are desired, they will need to be reserved one at a time. Note that 4WD vehicles are highly recommended, especially when the ground is wet. 2WD vehicles can park at the entrance without issue. This property has many unique features that make it the ideal whitetail deer habitat. To start - water. Deer Haven has creek access to Lake Eufaula, year-round spring water on site, a large year-round flowing creek, and multiple other wet season creeks. Naturally, along with water comes various rich vegetation that deer in this area will graze on. Because this property falls in a region of Oklahoma that is not heavily used for agriculture, deer in the area utilize other sources of food to survive. The feeder that is placed on the property will be an added perk to the diet of local deer. Another factor in why this property boasts quality habitat, is the sheer density of the timber found on site. Because of how thick certain sections of the hardwood timber is, deer are able to utilize travel corridors and bedding areas without being seen or pressured. A note to any rifle hunters booking an adventure on this property - there are several open park areas, but no wide-open shots that will exceed 200 yards. Archery, shotgun and black powder hunting will be most useful on this property, as a majority of shot opportunities will be close range.

OTC Tags in Oklahoma

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. All OTC hunts will require a 50% deposit of the outdoorsman fee at the time of booking as well. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.

Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
