The Gill Farm - Deer

This property located just east of Fort Leavenworth Missouri. With almost 800 acres of pristine land, this property offers a splendid opportunity for whitetail hunting. The Gill Farm features expansive open fields dedicated to agriculture, providing an excellent feeding ground for deer. The property also features a tree grove and a small section of a creek bed. Attending parties are responsible for bringing all the necessary equipment and supplies to maximize their chances of success. All hunters on this property must be members of Infinite Outdoors in order to access this legally.

This property near Lathrop Missouri boasts an ideal environment for large whitetail deer, with its diverse range of biological habitats, including a riverbed, hardwood forests, and agricultural fields. Whitetail deer are abundant in the area, especially during the rut, attracted to the various food sources provided by the agricultural fields, as well as the shelter and cover provided by the hardwood forests. The deer travel along the creek beds and timber draws, where stands are selectively placed. The hardwood forests offer excellent cover for deer, making it an ideal location for hunters to set up in tree stands and wait for deer to pass by. The dense tree lines also provide a rich source of food for deer, with a mix of deciduous species such as oaks, maples, and hickories, which produce acorns, nuts, and other food sources throughout the year. In addition, the agricultural fields provide an abundance of food for deer, as crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat are highly attractive to the animals. However, this also means that hunters must be strategic in their approach, as the deer can be highly unpredictable and may not follow predictable patterns. Deer numbers increase during the rut and can be great for the late November and December rifle season.
