Bucks & Beards - 5 Day ALL INCLUSIVE Archery Whitetail

Bucks and Beards is a DIY ARCHERY ONLY whitetail hunting property located just east of Guide Rock, Nebraska. The use of firearms for deer hunting is not permitted on this particular property. Though the hunting here is DIY, Bucks and Beards offers a unique all-inclusive service not found with many DIY opportunities. By booking this property, you are also going to be provided with not only on-site lodging but meals as well, for the duration of your hunt. The lodging here is found in a bunkhouse that can sleep up to 3 comfortably, with room for more to squeeze in. This property consists of roughly 480 acres of prime whitetail habitat and boasts quality bucks that any hunter would love to harvest. Please note that by booking this particular property listing, you are booking a 5-day hunt. Landowners of this property are invested in providing hunters with a good experience; so much so that they cater to many of the need's hunters may have. Available for use on the property are amenities such as a deer hanging station for skinning and butchering, cleaning tables, and coolers. Also available for rental is a side-by-side, hunting equipment such as a compound bow for those who do not have their own, and even scent blocker in case you run out or forget yours at home! Upon booking, you will be contacted by the landowner in preparation for your hunt and stay, so please be on the lookout for that contact attempt. North of the Republican River, Bucks and Beards consists of a habitat that only a whitetail could dream of. Thick sections of hardwood timber cater to a deer's most important need - security. Several travel corridors, bedding areas, and long existing scrapes can be found within the confines of the timber on this property. Not only is security and safety provided here, but food sources and local water are also factors that keep deer in the area as they continue to grow. As this is an operating agriculture region, many foods such as corn, wheat, or even rich grasses are the staples of a local whitetail's diet. Water is also found nearby in one of the many small creeks, canals, or the Republican River that is less than a mile south of the boundary line. Hunters who book this property can be rest assured that the property has received virtually zero hunting pressure since 2020, creating opportunity for bucks to grow to their full potential. Also, because hunting here is limited to archery only, any firearm hunting done on neighboring properties will only push more and more deer to seek safety within the property lines of Bucks and Beards.

This property implements a restriction on what deer may be taken. Hunters here will only be permitted to harvest mature deer, no smaller than at least a 4x4. Check out from this hunt will include meeting with the landowner and showing them any harvested deer. If this rule is violated, a fine will be issued.

Nebraska offers two different tags that will be valid in this unit for whitetail. One is a Statewide Archery tag that will be a draw tag, unless any tags go undrawn and will end up being sold OTC in July. There is also a Statewide Buck Tag that is a Season's Choice tag, that will be sold OTC in July as well.

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.

Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
