5 daysHirsig Giants in south eastern Wyoming, sits on approximately 5,700 acres in area 59. Sitting at the base of the Laramie Mountains, this property provides a great habitat for Mule deer. Taller sage brush is found all over this property, perfect for bedding areas. Multiple fingers run from the breaks and into agriculture fields, which outline Chugwater creek on the west end of this property, making a perfect, natural pinch point for moving deer. This particular property is just south of Chugwater Wyoming and can be accessed from county roads. Due to the past couple winters Wyoming has experienced, this property will have a point restriction for the 2024 season. Deer with 4 points or more on one side are valid for take. This includes a brow tine over 1 inch. This is for DIY access only and everything needed should be brought by party organizer and group.
This particular section of Wyoming is known for it's dry habitat during the late summer and early fall months. With that being said, Hirsig Giants, sits on an oasis compared to a lot of other areas around. With Chugwater Creek at the base of the Laramie Mountains, you can expect game to naturally move to the vicinity of the benefits that the creek offers to the land. Better feed, cooler temperatures, bedding areas, etc. are a result of that water source. Mule deer will generally find bedding areas during the day when the days are at their hottest. Deer movement will be more prevalent in the early mornings and evenings during feeding hours.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
If you are successful in harvesting an animal on this property, as a request of the landowners you must send in the Landowner Coupon that is attached to your big game license. Any hunter who successfully fills their tag but fails to return the landowner coupon will receive a $25 fine. This will be issued to the landowner in lieu of the money they would have received from the state through the landowner coupon program. The Harvest Report (noted above) is how you will notify Infinite Outdoors of your hunt results. Unsuccessful hunters are not required to return a coupon. The additional income driven through landowner coupons is a great way to continue incentivizing landowners to allow access to their land - we ask for your help in this endeavor, to keep quality access available at the touch of a button. Upon successful harvest, please send your landowner coupon to: PO Drawer 2360, Casper, WY 82602.
5 days. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire time frame, and your entire group.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.
Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
