1173This 5 day whitetail hunt give you access to a 165 acre property located on an old riverbed, making it a prime spot for whitetails to travel. There is also a small pond located within the riverbed. The deer will primarily travel the old riverbed and across the adjacent ag fields. This property has been known to see large whitetails, especially during the rut as deer continuously use this as a travel corridor between feed, bedding and watering areas. This is a 3-day hunt, so by booking the first day of your hunt, you are automatically booked for the following 2 as well.
The property near Solomon, Kansas boasts an ideal environment for large whitetail deer, with its diverse range of biological habitats, including a riverbed, hardwood forests, and agricultural fields. Whitetail deer are abundant in the area, especially during the rut, attracted to the various food sources provided by the agricultural fields, as well as the shelter and cover provided by the hardwood forests. The deer travel along the riverbed and tree lines, making them a prime location for hunters to set up near. The hardwood forests offer excellent cover for deer, making it an ideal location for hunters to set up in tree stands and wait for deer to pass by. The dense tree lines also provide a rich source of food for deer, with a mix of deciduous species such as oaks, maples, and hickories, which produce acorns, nuts, and other food sources throughout the year. In addition, the agricultural fields provide an abundance of food for deer, as crops such as corn, soybeans, and wheat are highly attractive to the animals. However, this also means that hunters must be strategic in their approach, as the deer can be highly unpredictable and may not follow predictable patterns. Deer numbers increase during the rut and can be great for the late November and early December rifle season.
November rut report- Several IO hunters were successful in the November archery season. 2023 Hunters were very successful hunting field edges and active scrapes. Rut activity was lower than usual due to hot weather but some deer still came to play when rattling.

Awesome property, passed on several quality bucks hoping for a giant but never had the one I was looking for come in. Great variety of bedding areas, travel corridors and food sources. Landowner was very helpful and knowledgable about the area.
