6-Man PitRawhide #1 is located northwest of Wellington, CO, and offers excellent pit blind hunting opportunities in a corn field. Rawhide Reservoir is located 2 miles northeast of the property and serves as a cooling pool for the local energy station. Cooling pools like these will remain free from ice year-round. Park Reservoir is also just 4 miles to the northwest and will also provide incredible bird densities throughout this region. Please be sure to look at the adventures tab in the Infinite Outdoors app to make sure you are accessing this property correctly. Access and location to the pit blind provided on the property will be shown on the Infinite Outdoors app when booking. Additionally, all attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors in order to access this property legally.
Located in the Northern front range of Colorado, Rawhide #1 is an excellent place to target dark geese. Access to the property is through a secluded road off of N highway 15 that provides very limited pressure to the geese utilizing this field. The ag fields in this region see incredible amounts of waterfowl throughout the season. Bird numbers are also aided by the close proximity of Rawhide Reservoir cooling pond and Park Creek Reservoir. Mornings and Evenings generally tend to be more productive feeding times in the ag fields. Rawhide Reservoir cooling pond and other bodies of water in the area, will serve as roosting spots at night and loafing habitat during the daytime. Cold spells and snow can also increase bird density and feeding activity. Be sure to check Colorado waterfowl season dates and brush up on bird identification.

The property is in a great location and as the cold fronts come in, the geese will hit these fields for food. There was a ton of corn throughout the field, we saw a ton of traffic even though the X was the warm ponds at the power plant. Shot birds at dawn and dusk, it was slower through the day but was also unseasonably warm.
