Covert Turkey Haven

Covert Turkey Haven includes roughly 820 acres of private land located near the town of Osbourne, KS. The landowners report a great population of turkeys in the area, seeing big groups almost every day. The Covert Creek bottom provides the birds with a safe source of travel from one source of food or roost to the next. During the fall and spring, there are several different water sources on the property as well, keeping birds in the area almost all year long. Game is never promised but good times are, especially with this property. Make sure to check Kansas state hunting regulations as well as bring all necessary licenses, tags etc. Hunters are able to set up a camp on site, and for additional cost, hunters can haul and park a camper on site or have access to a weatherproof indoor camping site. This property is located in the northern range of the Rio Grande turkeys. Hunters will find great habitat that consists of large roost trees along the creek with heavy nesting cover and food in the adjacent agriculture fields. Crop rotations include protein rich winter wheat, corn and milo. Expect to see turkeys roosting on the property and moving throughout the spring season.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
