Bixby Layout Field

CLOSED FOR 2024/25 SEASON - DRY LAND CROP DID NOT TAKE AND IS NOT HUNTABLE. Bixby Layout Field is a DIY waterfowl property located near Glenrock, WY. This is a layout blind only field, meaning there is no provided pit and hunters must bring their own blinds. This is a small section of land located right on the edge of the river that has been planted specifically for waterfowl hunters! Please ensure that you arrive early enough to brush up your blind in the morning. The Bixby property is located in a great flyway for waterfowl and is extremely close to the North Platte River, which is consistently used as a roosting spot for large numbers of birds. Driving through the field is prohibited, but hunters are permitted to drive around the edge to get close to the desired hunting location. There are cattle in the area, as well as pipeline operations, so please use caution when shooting. This property can offer good opportunities for pass shooting; however, all shots must be made responsibly. “Sky busting” will not be tolerated.  All hunters must abide by all state of Wyoming regulations, including licensing and limits. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

This property provides most of a half circle of an agriculture field, located next to the North Platte. This area provides plenty of unpressured private land. This property offers everything needed for a good waterfowl hunt.
