Notes from the landowner

Peak Foothills Mule Deer lies in area 59 of in the southeastern region of Wyoming. This area is also known as area J for non resident hunters. This property sits on approximately 4,000 acres of prime Mule Deer hunting land just west of Wheatland. This property has been very successful in the past. The property is engulfed in heavy timber, deep canyons and will offer a spectacular time. Attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally access this property legally. Please make sure to be aware of all Wyoming state rules and regulations.

Game and habitat information

Ponderosa Pine forests and large Aspen groves on the ranch are excellent places to target Mule Deer due to the abundance of understory vegetation and screening cover that they offer. Another tactic is to look for recently disturbed areas such as burns, beetle kill, flooding, etc. After disturbance, the plant species that grow after an event like this is exactly what deer will target, broad leaf plants "forbs". The property will range from a mile high to over 6500'.
