2 DaysThis property is located along the South Platte River, just southwest of the town of Greeley. The southern half of this property is made up of a cottonwood tree line that separates an open field from the sandbars and river. The northern half of the property is loaded with cottonwoods that act as roosting trees. There is thick cover on the north side that birds will use to move up and down the entirety of the river. The landowner reports birds and bird sign regularly. By booking this property, you are booking it for a 2-day hunt. Either Tues/Wed, Wed/Thurs, or Sat/Sun. If a Tuesday or a Wednesday is unavailable on the calendar, then you will need to book another week or weekend. You will need to bring your current Colorado turkey license, calls, waders if you plan to cross the river, and a ground blind if you plan to hunt from one (there are no designated turkey blinds.) You are allowed a maximum of 2 vehicles on this property.
This area has a good population of both Rio Grande and Hybrid turkeys. This property acts as a travel corridor for most birds in the area, and hunters can typically find small pockets of birds that roost on site as mating season comes into full swing and large groups begin to separate. The proximity to nearby municipalities gives you the chance to hunt turkeys in a unique river bottom habitat along the South Platte River. Look for birds moving along the river throughout the day and roosting in the large cottonwoods throughout the property.
2-Day hunt. By booking the first day of your adventure, you're automatically booked for the following day as well.

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. The outdoorsman fee will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

A Pass shooting at best property for deer and Turkey. Duck would be great here. Not much forage that would keep much of anything around. Property borders landowners with open fields, meadows, roosting trees. Which is where they all were. Ok property, but price was pretty steep for the amount of effort to make it a viable hunting property for Turkey especially.

The property isn't pretty--it has piles of waste and is near a water treatment plant so a smell on the north side. We didn't have good luck. There is old sign and spent shotgun shells so they have been there in past. But it also was clear there hadn't been turkey on the property for a long time. There was no fresh sign, tracks, or scratches. We didn't hear turkey roosting in the morning. We hunted long days and didn't see anything. Maybe this is a late season property or we just had bad luck opening weekend. We did see many ducks, geese, and deer over the two days.
