Cow ElkHunt Area
7Hunt Duration
5 daysThis property consists of approximately 3500 acres of private land, in hunt area 7. Area 7 is known in the hunting community as one of the best units in Wyoming due to the amount of Elk that it holds and the amount of success that it sees year in and year out. Water is located on the property where elk will be found traveling to. In addition to the private land, Luman Creek sits adjacent to state, and BLM land that can be hunted as well. The property offers a great spot with very easy access in and out, even during the winter months and the location makes it a very easy drive from Wheatland. Anyone who is in the group, must be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally access this property. This property is great because of the addition of type 8 tags, which allows hunters to take cows on private land only. Those tags can be bought OTC! Hunters: please be prepared to return the landowner coupon on your license to this landowner. Check the rules and regs section upon booking to learn where to send the coupon.
Area 7 is known for its big bulls and massive herd sizes. This property sits in an ideal location for hunting because of it's proximity to public lands. As the season gets later, public lands will experience a lot of pressure and Elk can find a sanctuary on Luman Creek. Rut activity will increase in September. During this time, bulls will become more vocal and active. Though this property is great it is at a lower elevation. Elk can be found in numbers during any time of the day but will be far more active during the early mornings and evenings.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
If you are successful in harvesting an animal on this property, as a request of the landowners you must send in the Landowner Coupon that is attached to your big game license. Any hunter who successfully fills their tag but fails to return the landowner coupon will receive a $25 fine. This will be issued to the landowner in lieu of the money they would have received from the state through the landowner coupon program. The Harvest Report (noted above) is how you will notify Infinite Outdoors of your hunt results. Unsuccessful hunters are not required to return a coupon. The additional income driven through landowner coupons is a great way to continue incentivizing landowners to allow access to their land - we ask for your help in this endeavor, to keep quality access available at the touch of a button. Upon successful harvest, please send your landowner coupon to: PO Drawer 2360, Casper WY 82602
5 days. By booking the first day of your adventure, you are automatically booking the following 4 as well. The reservation will be for the entire time frame, and your entire group.
Reservation fees are due at the time of booking, and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the draw results in this state are posted. If you are unsuccessful in the draw, reach out to IO and the situation will be handled accordingly. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt. All OTC hunts will require a 50% deposit of the outdoorsman fee at the time of booking as well. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the hunt.
Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be taken care of immediately. Any cancellations needing made after placing a deposit will result in attempts to reschedule the hunt for a different season, or a different year. Please note that refunds are not guaranteed.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

Would be higher, expected it to be actually sucure, didn’t think people would be able to drive through the ranch to get to there back 40,or the neighbors trailing 800head of cows down the road, or on there 4 wheelers gathering strays,

Due to Unseasonably warm&dry weather has the elk in higher elevations@ our time slot. After doing a little homework, We decided to call the support team and see if we can rebook in the office. Absolutely went to work for us. They called the ranch manager ranch, the manager obviously knew the scenario so he let us rebook the remainder of the hunt for a later date obviously no guarantees there either but to have that opportunity is awesome and that’s why I would recommend it.
