1,800 acresArapahoe Deer is a DIY deer hunting property comprised of roughly 1,800 acres of agricultural land located northeast of Cheyenne Wells, CO on the border of Kansas. This property is found in unit 117 which historically has produced large mule deer and whitetail bucks. This is a 5-day hunt, so by booking the first day, you are automatically booked for the following 4 as well. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will be processed two weeks after licenses are awarded, otherwise it will be processed at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will process one month prior to your arrival on the property to hunt.
The open plains of eastern Colorado provide great habitat for large numbers of deer. With an abundance of food sources, bedding areas and cover, along with limited public pressure, deer numbers and size are very good. Agriculture field provide protein rich food year-round which helps produce good species abundance. The majority of Arapahoe deer will be agriculture fields that game will be using to feed early in the morning and as the sun goes down. It is adjacent to the Smoky Hill dried river bed, which provides plenty of areas that deer will use during the day to bed and hide from all conditions, so look for them to be moving in and out of the river to the provided access on food sources.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
