Notes from the landowner

Walnut Home Farm offers a true DIY whitetail hunting experience with no additional amenities provided. There are no permanent stands, blinds, or feeders on the property. Hunters are welcome to bring their own climber or saddle stands, but the construction or installation of permanent stands or structures is not permitted. The creek bottom features sturdy, mature hardwood trees that lend themselves well to archery setups, and with plenty of open shooting lanes, rifle hunting is a viable option across the property as well. Natural terrain and cover provide multiple opportunities to adapt setups based on wind, deer movement, and season timing. The property consists of two separate parcels, each approximately 150 acres in size and located roughly a half mile apart. A residence is located on the eastern parcel and must be avoided during the hunt; this area is clearly marked and excluded within the boundaries shown in the Infinite Outdoors app.

Game and habitat information

This property offers classic Midwestern whitetail habitat centered around the creek bottom along Weyer Creek, a well-traveled natural corridor used heavily by white-tailed deer for daily movement. In addition to serving as a primary travel route, Weyer Creek provides a reliable water source and consistent cover, making it a key feature that holds deer on the property throughout the season. Large, mature walnut and oak trees line the creek, creating excellent stand locations and natural pinch points where deer movement is predictable. These hardwoods provide both mast and cover, increasing daytime activity and encouraging deer to linger in the area. Peak movement typically occurs during the rut, often around Halloween depending on weather conditions, when bucks cruise the creek bottom and adjacent transition areas in search of does. The west farm’s native grass strip adds valuable bedding cover, while the two separate parcels are farmed in different row crops that provide diverse, consistent food sources for deer. Together, these habitat features create a well-rounded property that supports strong whitetail movement and opportunity throughout the season.

Harvest Reports

After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.

Payment Process

Reservation fees are due at the time of booking and are non-refundable. 50% of the outdoorsman fee will process 2 weeks after the KS draw results post, or at the time of booking if a reservation is made after the draw results post. The remaining 50% will process 1 month prior to the adventure.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made prior to placing a deposit will be handled immediately with no penalty. If a cancellation is requested after a deposit has been placed, Infinite Outdoors will make every effort to reschedule the hunt for a different season or a future year. Refunds are not guaranteed once a deposit has been placed.

Availability

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released. All big game hunts may be pre-booked for future seasons; reach out to IO to inquire.

Trespassing

You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.
