BYO LayoutRangeview Waterfowl is a DIY waterfowl hunting property near Bracewell, CO. This property is designated for layout blind hunting, or A-frame blind hunting only. Half of the property is currently planted in alfalfa, and the other half is silage corn. Located in the Central Flyway Zone, this property will offer opportunity for mainly dark geese, but can occasionally attract light geese as well. This property is in close proximity to over 15 residential ponds which hold extraordinary amounts of geese. Access and parking will be located on the northwest end of the property. Hunting is permitted in either side of the field, either the alfalfa or the corn, however, driving through the alfalfa will be prohibited. A path through the corn is provided. Hunters must take one path in, and one path out. This Is a DIY property, so all hunters will need to bring their own gear to ensure a successful hunt.
Located in Bracewell CO, Rangeview waterfowl is a perfect opportunity for hunters looking to target waterfowl in the front range of Colorado. This region in Colorado sees an incredible amount of birds year after year and serves as a waterfowlers paradise. The 2022 was disked corn and 2023 season will be alfalfa. This field is in very close proximity to numerous bodies of water and will serve as a high bird traffic area for this region. Expect bird behavior to loaf in these reservoirs and retreat to fields during the mornings and early evenings to feed. Cold spells and fronts will always increase waterfowl activity throughout the day, especially when hunting over agricultural fields on the front range. Be sure to understand Colorado waterfowl seasons and regulations prior to arrival.
1-Day Hunt
Layout Blind hunting for geese can be equally as quality as hunting from a pit, if done right. Hunters who do not have a layout blind, and are members of Infinite Outdoors, should check out their member benefits for discounts on ALPS OutdoorZ blinds. Because there isn't a provided blind on the property, allow yourself additional time to brush in the blinds you bring.
Reservation fees are processed at the time of booking and are non-refundable. All outdoorsman fees will process automatically, 48 hours prior to the hunt.
Cancellations must be made 48 hours or more prior to the adventure. Cancellations made within 48 hours will be subject to partial or full outdoorsman fee charges.
If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
You are not legally allowed to access the property, for any adventure, prior to your selected access day. If you try to access the property at all before your selected date(s), without prior approval from IO, you will be subject to trespassing and punishments therein.

It was a nice property. It is definitely a trafficking spot and the success of that will be effected by the stage of the crops. These birds do see other hunting pressure but they can still work. We had two other groups in neighboring fields which made the hunt slightly more challenging but were still able to find success.

Once we arrived and set up we were approached by an neighboring landowner who all but threatened to sky bust to ruin our experience because they are not happy that this property was being “leased out” and “that none of them want us there”.
