15Stoddard Ranch is a DIY mule deer hunting property located north of La Grange, WY, just east of Hawk Springs reservoir. The stunning property lies atop a large bluff, providing views for miles in every direction. Located in area 15, or Region T as this is in a general area for some licenses in Wyoming, the property is roughly 2000 acres in size and offers ample opportunity to harvest mule deer. This property is part of a working cattle operation, so please be aware of that as you access this ranch. There are drivable two-tracks throughout the property that hunters may use to traverse the landscape. Absolutely no driving on anything other than those tracks will be permitted; any violators will be fined. Lodging for an additional cost may be available but is not provided in each booking. Please inquire with IO about lodging availability prior to booking. Hunters: please be prepared to return the landowner coupon on your license to this landowner. Check the rules and regs section upon booking to learn where to send the coupon.
Stoddard Ranch offers multiple types of terrain to hunt, and really only caters to one species of deer: mule deer. On this ranch you will find changing topography in small rolling hills and rocky outcroppings around the edges of the bluff. Sufficient cover is provided by tall grasses, as well as yuccas and those same rocky edges. Deer in this area tend to feed on the different circles located below the bluff and will migrate back towards the top to find cover and bedding. There is also a food source on the property itself in the form of a grass/alfalfa mixed crop used for hay for cattle. Deer will utilize this as well, but most times will be found feeding on neighboring properties that offer corn and wheat. Hunters can anticipate seeing deer in numbers here but are encouraged to only harvest a mature buck. Doe hunts will be offered as well as a 'meat hunt', so if you are interested in this and have or intend to have a type 6 tag, please reach out to Infinite Outdoors.
After your hunt, you will be sent an automated Harvest Report. To assist Infinite Outdoors in maintaining the quality of properties - and continue to put conservation at the forefront - we require that the harvest report be completely filled out and returned. Failure to fill out the harvest report within 2 weeks of the hunt taking place will result in a $25 fine. If you are unsuccessful in filling your tag, Infinite Outdoors still needs to have that information provided to them. This is how we will make changes to future year's harvest quotas and continue to be the most well managed access and conservation platform in the country.
If you are successful in harvesting an animal on this property, as a request of the landowners you must send in the Landowner Coupon that is attached to your big game license. Any hunter who successfully fills their tag but fails to return the landowner coupon will receive a $25 fine. This will be issued to the landowner in lieu of the money they would have received from the state through the landowner coupon program. The Harvest Report (noted above) is how you will notify Infinite Outdoors of your hunt results. Unsuccessful hunters are not required to return a coupon. The additional income driven through landowner coupons is a great way to continue incentivizing landowners to allow access to their land - we ask for your help in this endeavor, to keep quality access available at the touch of a button. Upon successful harvest, please send your landowner coupon to: PO Box 2, Lagrange, WY 82221.

If there is a lapse in availability, please do not be discouraged to reach out to IO. All calendars are set and managed by landowners, and unavailability is set by them. However, IO is willing to reach out on your behalf, to check on available dates. Other reasons for unavailable dates include biologist recommended hunter/harvest quotas that landowners implement, as well as state season dates not being released.
