I don’t know if you’re like me, but I had to scramble for the Elk Tag draw in Colorado to get into my preferred spot. The deadline was April 2nd, and I finished my application and sent it in on the 1st. Thank goodness for modern technology.
Speaking of modern technology, we use a lot of it for hunt planning these days, don’t we? We apply for tags online; we scout online. We have trail cameras sending pictures to our phones. We have blogs, forums, social media, and apps all working for us. This is where Infinite Outdoors steps in. From the beginning of the hunt plan to the grip and grin at the end, the Airbnb of hunting and fishing should be an integral part of your hunt planning, and here is why.
One other differentiating factor is that we were founded and built by ranch owners and athletes ourselves (David and I). We aren't backed by Venture Capital money either. Those entities are profit-driven and removed from the daily strife of sportsmen and landowners. Built and backed by the same ranchers who list on Infinite Outdoors. - Sam Seeton , Founder/ CEO Infinite Outdoors LLC
You read that right. Many resources are thrown at online companies with sites, apps, and content. We, as the outdoor community, absolutely utilize almost all of it. What sets Infinite Outdoors apart from many of these entities is that the app was built from the ground up by Outdoor Folk—stewards of the land.
So when I am putting in for tags now, I am not only looking at public land, with low success rates and high pressure, but also private land on the Infinite Outdoors App with little to no pressure and a better chance at taking the animal I am looking for because of it. Plus, I know the land is set up expressly for me as a hunter and angler.
This opens up access to hunting grounds and tag opportunities that I didn’t have before, like a Type 8 tag in Wyoming or chasing whitetails in Kansas or Oklahoma. This is because of the partnership that Infinite Outdoors provides the Sportsman and the Landowners, Farmers, and Ranchers.
Why does that matter? Let’s examine some bullet points that explain why Infinite Outdoors is a great tool for planning and executing a successful hunt.
With Infinite Outdoors, hunt planning can be taken to a new level. First, access to the property opens up access to tags. In places where restricted public land access may sway you in a different direction, you can now apply. Just check the app to see available properties in that zone. Please note that in draw units, property bookings do not open until draw results are posted. Then, you can budget for the time, access expenses, travel, and incidentals when applying for the tag.
We have on-board mapping for your convenience. Our mapping complements an actual Hunting Mapping App, but all information is helpful in E-Scouting and diving into all the logistics of hunt planning. The exciting part I can take from this is that often, the surrounding areas aren’t E-scouted when folks don’t see good public access. Remember, the property surrounding the hunting property usually contributes to your success. All of that is at your fingertips.
Applying for tags is always a crapshoot, but with Infinite Outdoors, you can be confident of your access and your most important asset, your time. That access might be for more than just your upcoming big game hunt. You may be able to book the same property the year before for a fishing or hunting trip, but that isn’t your once-every-ten-year opportunity at a certain draw animal. But when that one-in-ten ticket gets pulled, you’ll have the knowledge, confidence, comfort, and access to invest it all in that hunt truly.
Often, different states have different Game Management approaches; some emphasize opportunity, and some focus on trophy potential. With Infinite Outdoors in your toolbox, you can confidently apply in multiple states to leverage both. You want to kill a 6x6 350” bull, but if that’s the only Elk you’ve ever seen, keeping it together when it happens might be impossible. With the ability to have a genuinely excellent opportunity on OTC and Low point draw opportunity-focused hunts, you can get some encounters under your belt and hopefully some meat in the freezer. That 6x6 might have worse odds after that.
We will add more about leveraging our app to lead to the best possible DIY Hunts. So this isn’t the end, but just goodbye for now. Please let us know what topics you’d specifically like covered when utilizing Infinite Outdoors so you can better enjoy your precious time in the field.
