Notes from the landowner

Estes Tines is a DIY elk hunting property that lies on120 acres, located in a remote and protected region near Estes Park, Colorado in GMU 20. It has National Forest to the north and south, with miles of undeveloped terrain in each direction. This particular property is very secluded with one neighbor to the west about 3/4 of a mile and a few neighbors to the east about a mile away. Though on the smaller side this property is no stranger to seeing game on and around the property during all seasons. There is not public access to this area. The north fork of the Little Thompson runs through the property, providing a local water source for any game in the area. This property has considerable rocky outcroppings and difficult terrain in places; it also has direct access to 584,000 acres of the Roosevelt National Forest. This is a DIY opportunity, anyone accessing the property needs to bring all things necessary. All attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors to legally access this property and abide by all State of Colorado regulations.

Game and habitat information

Placed in Colorados famous Front Range, just east of Estes Park, Estes Tines offers fantastic elk habitat. The property consists of 120 acres of private land engulfed in heavy timber. In addition to the 120 acres, the property has direct access to the Roosevelt National Forest. Elk will generally be more active in the early mornings and evenings during feeding hours. Rut activity will increase during September which will increase movement. This is a spot where elk move from the Rocky Mountain National Park for the summer down to the foothills for the winter. Hunters can anticipate finding elk on the property and are also encouraged to use the private access to facilitate hunting on the national forest as well.
