Hillrose East - Goose Blind

Hillrose East is a DIY waterfowl property located east of Hillrose, CO. Provided on site is a hay bale blind set in corn - this corn is picked, not cut for silage. This field can also be used as a layout field as it was in years past. This area is only a few miles away from Prewitt Reservoir and the South Platte. Geese fly over the property regularly as it is a natural flyway up and down the river. Though the pit fits 4 hunters, more guests can attend the adventure, but bringing layout blinds is highly recommended for any additional hunters. There are opportunities for both light and dark geese here. 

Mountain Vista Goose - Pit

Mountain Vista Goose is a DIY waterfowl property located just east of I-25 in Fort Collins. This property will have a 6-man pit for the 2024/25 season. The pit location will be shown in the Infinite Outdoors app. Hunters must stay within the hunting boundary but may use the remainder of the field to retrieve birds. This flyway is notorious for having large amounts of geese, and due to its urban proximity, hunters have greater opportunities to hunt less educated waterfowl. There are power lines on the south side of the hunting area, but birds can still fly over and into your spread. This area is within city limits, so all hunters please refer to the rules and regulations that will be emailed to you after booking. Any and all issues must be reported to Infinite Outdoors immediately. Hunters must abide by all state of Colorado regulations, including but not limited to, licensing, limits, and method of take. The map shows parking and a driving route for dropping off decoys. While you can drive to the pit for drop-off please limit impact to the areas around the pit. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

Open for Light goose conservation season. The pit is due for some work and a new lid after the season but layouts are also an option. Platte Flats is a DIY waterfowl hunting property located just east of the town of Julesburg, CO. It is a 110-acre Millet field that will be changing over to winter wheat after the start of the season. This area of Colorado is notorious for opportunities at both light and dark geese, as well as possible field ducks. This property holds a 6-man permanent pit, designed to perfection. Hunters will need to bring their own chairs or buckets for sitting. Parking on this property will be across the road in the mowed grass area. All hunters at this location must abide by all state of Colorado regulations, including but not limited to, licensing, limits, and method of take. SPEEDING OVER 15mph ON PRIVATE ROADS WILL RESULT IN FINES.

Platte Flats East is a DIY waterfowl hunting property located just east of the town of Julesburg, CO. It is an 80-acre rotated crop field, planted in Millet currently. It boasts a 6-man permanent pit located in an optimal area for visuals, both for hunters and for any birds in the air. This area of Colorado is notorious for opportunities at both light and dark geese, as well as the occasional field duck. This property holds a 6-man permanent pit, designed to perfection. Hunters will need to bring their own chairs or buckets for sitting. Parking on this property will be across the road in the mowed grass area. Dog owners beware, this pit is covered in puncture vine that may be harmful to them. Bring dogs at own discretion. All hunters at this location must abide by all state of Colorado regulations, including but not limited to, licensing, limits, and method of take.

Wiggins Dam Layout Field

Wiggins Dam Layout Field is located just north of Wiggins, Colorado. This layout field consists of roughly 120 acres of winter wheat, in the Central Flyway. Please note that the landowner requests for NO DRIVING IN THE FIELD. While inconvenient, this is their request, and it must be respected. It is placed in the middle of the notorious 'Golden Triangle', which lies between 3 large bodies of water that hold big numbers of birds. Hunters should keep in mind that though this property has dynamite location, it is not the "X". Being surrounded by corn, Wiggins Dam will not be the first choice for geese to feed in, and the hunt will be more of hunting traffic birds, than hunting the main feed. However, with good brushing of blinds and a well-set decoy spread, hunters will still find success pulling birds. Target cold weather days, and new migrations of un-wise birds to find success. Early season hunting can also be productive, especially if surrounding corn has not yet been cut. Hunters are not allowed to drive into the winter wheat; all decoys and blinds must be carried into the field. This is a DIY hunting opportunity, meaning hunters must bring all things needed, including blinds, licensing, and decoys. There will not be a blind or pit for use. Additionally, all attending parties must be members of Infinite Outdoors to access this property legally. Please abide by all Colorado state rules and regulations.
